The challenge
Hospices across the UK rely heavily on gifts in Wills: new research from Hospice UK shows that 30,000 people annually wouldn’t receive hospice care without legacy gifts. While 71% of the public believes hospices deserve more support, 50% feel unable to donate due to the cost-of-living crisis. As many as 90% of people who die in the UK could benefit from receiving palliative care. With our ageing population, the need is only set to increase, reinforcing the need for the dedicated, specialist palliative and end of life care provided by hospices.

Our approach
Hospice UK’s ‘This is Hospice Care’ campaign saw 143 hospices across Great Britain come together to highlight the breadth of hospice care, and encourage people to leave a gift in their will to their chosen hospice. Stand led the national PR campaign, working in collaboration with Hospice UK, RAW Agency, and the hospices. Our team created and shared:

  • National and consumer press releases
  • Letters to Editors from the campaign spokesperson and case studies
  • Campaign images and a press pack for local media outreach
  • Case studies and briefing documents for spokespeople
