Proving that Montessori is a global philosophy for everyone
CHALLENGE
Despite its humble beginnings helping disadvantaged children in Rome, qualitative and quantitative research showed us that a Montessori education is viewed as a ‘method for the middle class.’
SOLUTION
We started our work with one main goal. If people were to recognise the Montessori approach as a global philosophy for everyone, we had to reclaim what Montessori education really is and change its perception from ‘alternative’ and ‘out of touch’, to ‘relevant’ and ‘accessible’.
To achieve this, we diversified and expanded the Montessori Group’s audiences, breaking them out of their bubble.
IMPACT
By speaking to parents across the UK, the Early Years Stage workforce, and the government, we positioned the Montessori Group as a champion for all children.
In just six months, our robust press office activity secured 86 pieces of coverage in national, regional, broadcast, consumer, and trade outlets, dispelling the myth that Montessori is only for the wealthy.
