Laura Oliphant Founder

A big thinker, as interested in business as the power of comms to change behaviour, Laura has launched two new banks and created some of the biggest education and health campaigns in the UK. She has worked with multiple brands to develop and build their brand – finding a gap, cutting through the noise and helping them punch above their weight. Laura has a particular passion for building investor and donor value, and likes to jump between business and charity, corporate and consumer when it comes to creating stand out strategy and campaigns.

Mey has 20 years of office management experience across the creative and digital space. She is passionate about optimising office workflow so that the team can maximise their potential and provide stellar service to clients.

Grace French Director & Head of Culture
Grace French Director & Head of Culture

With a background in psychology, Grace has always been fascinated with what makes people tick. She uses behaviour change principles to get to the heart of any issue. Grace leads the development and delivery of insight-based strategies for a range of organisations spanning social care, education, finance and healthcare. In her dual role at Stand, Grace also works with organisations to interrogate and improve their culture, to unlock motivation and fuel performance, to help achieve business-critical objectives. She is also responsible for Stand’s own culture strategy. Grace has an ILM Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, and a TQUK Level 2 qualification in Understanding Autism.

 

Cait Dacey Associate Director & Head of Healthcare

Cait is an expert in getting to the core of an organisation’s purpose, and helping them to combat systemic issues through strategic behaviour change. Guided by her experience working with global, EMEA, and UK-based clients, Cait’s approach drives impact. As well as being the future of health lead at Stand, her experience spans many sectors including health and social care, equality, data, sustainability, and education. She is incredibly passionate about how behaviour change can help to combat inequities, and has a qualification from LSE in Health Economics and Policy and a master’s degree in Gender and Culture. She’s also a strong advocate for intersectional feminism, and helping to work towards equality

Sean Mackenney Associate Director, DEI&B Lead & Head of Food
Sean Mackenney Associate Director, DEI&B Lead & Head of Food

Sean is a seasoned communications and campaigns specialist with experience across the non-profit and private sectors. With a strong background in food sustainability, he has led impactful movement-building and awareness campaigns for organisations such as HSI UK and ProVeg International. Sean also spearheaded the Forward Food programme, helping transform plant-based offerings in public sector catering.

At Stand, Sean leads the food portfolio, as well as bringing strategic insight and creativity to projects that span the third sector and culture-driven, insight-led initiatives. He thrives on driving change through collaboration, storytelling, and purposeful communication.

Beth has experience working with a wide range of organisations and charities in sectors spanning education and health to sustainability and finance. She is a critical thinker who works to understand audiences and their motivators, cut through complexity, and bring stories to life. In her role as Senior Account Director, she is responsible for setting and delivering strategies for clients and ensuring activity achieves impact against business objectives.

With 6+ years’ of experience, Marta has worked with mission-driven companies of all sizes to help them build trust and community. She believes that any issue, no matter how complex, can be communicated in an accessible way, and show people how something can add value or meaning to their lives. Having been in-house for a number of years, she understands the challenges clients face, and brings that perspective to her client relationships at Stand, working to act as an extension of a client’s in-house team.

Simran is an award-winning marketer with experience in B2B and B2C marketing for financial services, food, healthcare and energy for industry leaders such as LV=, Brooks Macdonald, Newcastle Building Society, Agria Pet Insurance, Benenden Health, Control Risks, Healthy Food Healthy Planet and Pulse Clean Energy. She specialises in turning complex offerings into clear, human messaging and executing impactful organic and paid digital strategies across LinkedIn, Meta, Google and email. From launching brands online to building lead generation strategies, Simran is driven by the results and impact of her creativity and digital work.

She enjoys developing thought-provoking campaigns and challenging the team to push their boundaries and think outside the box. Hannah has a particular interest for all media-related activities and is proactive at forming ideas for achieving widespread coverage. She is creative and persuasive in her story-telling and is successful at regularly securing top-tier press coverage.

With a background in marketing and a degree in art history, Emily brings a creative, strategic approach to brand building across digital platforms. She has managed campaigns from concept to execution, from shaping content ideas to delivering targeted digital activations. Emily has worked with clients across sustainability, health and social care, and finance, among others, supporting them to communicate their purpose and engage audiences in meaningful ways. Passionate about creative storytelling, she is committed to delivering ideas that not only stand out but also drive measurable impact for the organisations she works with.

With almost 4 years of experience in integrated communications and public affairs, Will brings his experience working with mission-driven organisations to communicate their “why”.

With experience working with FTSE100 brands, national charities and government campaigns, Will understands the need to implement advocacy at the heart of creative campaigns to deliver month-on-month returns.

Will joins the Stand team to help manage the sustainability, clean energy, and transport team.  He is excited to be working with clients that are shaping the UK’s energy transition – supporting them with all their communication needs.

Amelia brings sharp editorial judgment and has a keen sense of what breaks through. She understands the nuanced world of purpose-led organisations and is committed to supporting positive change through strategic comms and thoughtful advocacy that puts people at the centre of every story.

Lewi has experience of working with a wide range of organisations in the Tech, Finance, Health and Entertainment sectors. Building off his digital marketing background, Lewi seeks to better understand and connect with a range of audiences via personalised copywriting and media engagement. Having studied History & Politics, Lewi remains fascinated by the interactions between various spheres of industry and public life, and is optimistic about the role both can play in shaping the future.

Ross is a Graduate Account Executive at Stand, with a background in supporting refugee communities and journalism. Ross is excited to build off what he’s learnt previously and to contribute to a wider variety of sectors. With an MA in international relations and interests in History, Politics, Literature and Art, Ross holds a deep passion for learning and remains curious by all sectors of the PR world. Deeply engaged with crafting client narratives, Ross is excited to bring his relentless enthusiasm to the Stand team.

With decades of Board level experience, encompassing strategy development and execution, M&A, European expansion and corporate governance Simon is well placed to support Stand’s growth ambitions.

As CEO of Hitachi Capital’s UK mobility operations, he led the company through sustained growth to a Top 10 market position and £100m+ revenues. He also served as Chair of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, representing the sector at the highest level.

In 2016 he became responsible for Hitachi Capital’s European expansion strategy, establishing new operations in 9 countries, with 300+ employees, before retiring in 2023.

Simon now focuses on supporting Stand as Non-Executive Chairman and advisor to the Board.

As CEO of Tangent, a global independent digital product agency, he’s led multi-market operations with revenues of over $50m. Before this, Leigh played a key role in Cognifide’s transformation, driving 60% revenue growth over five years and helping the business evolve into Wunderman Thompson Technology. Leigh thrives at the intersection of commercial performance and product innovation, and brings a global perspective to shaping digital-first strategies that deliver real impact.

Helen brings a calm head and sharp insight to all things people, culture and organisational change. As People Director at Diligenta (a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services), she combines deep HR expertise with a strong grasp of the financial services and insurance world. Her background includes senior roles at major corporates – including Operations Director at Prudential – where she’s led teams through transformation, complexity and regulatory challenge. Helen is passionate about creating workplaces that work for people, and brings both empathy and rigour to every table she sits at.
